We are ideally located on O'Brien Mountain, a highly sought-after area of the Shasta Lake region, nestled right in the center of the lake’s largest arms, a little north of the I-5 Pit River Bridge. In this centralized highland location, you’ll enjoy lush green surroundings not easily found in the cities and towns south of the lake, yet quicker access to those towns than homes in the northern Lakehead-Lakeshore area provide. O'Brien also provides much easier access to the widest areas of the lake than Lakehead-Lakeshore, ensuring easy access to lake fun even when water levels are at their lowest.
Some of the most popular points of interest are found just down the road. From our front door, you will be only 3-7 minutes from: the I-5, Holiday Harbor, Shasta Caverns, and popular public water access/boat launches. You can also enjoy paved road all the way from the highway to our driveway.
Ample Private Parking
We have over 1600 sq. ft. of designated private parking space on the property, plus a 200+ ft. long driveway, plenty of room for multiple vehicles and your boats or other toys.
Enhanced Connectivity
While it’s nice to disconnect when on vacation, it’s also nice to have options! We are able to provide unlimited WiFi and a cell-phone signal booster to help you stay connected during your stay, rare features up here in the mountains!
Peace & Privacy
Our 4-acre property is neighbored on 3 sides by forest land. Your only next-door neighbors are the deer, birds, and other forest wildlife. Enjoy the serenity and unobstructed views only our unique nature retreat offers.
Should you need us, however, our neighborly co-hosts live just up the road and can respond in a flash

The house takes advantage of all the incredible surrounding nature with an abundance of large windows, providing plenty of sunlight and a restorative scenic view from every single room. Enjoy plentiful bird-watching right outside the 2-story living room windows during the day and the clearest rural skies for star-gazing at night. Thanks to the elevation of the house, you will be sitting among the tree tops, almost as if in a giant treehouse, with a clear view out to a colorful sunset behind the mountain ranges.

Every room has been either fully or partially renovated and/or refurbished during 2025-2026. While we’ve retained a classic European countryside aesthetic, you can enjoy fresh new surfaces and comfortable modern amenities.
