By choosing to book with us, you agree that you and everyone in your party have read and agree to abide by the following house rules.

House Rules

PETS

We do happily welcome well-behaved cats and dogs, but they must each be listed on your booking, as there is a small fee. For other types of pets, please message for permission before booking. Only non-destructive and house-trained pets that are older than 6 months are permitted. Cats and dogs must be up-to-date on their flea medication. We do ask that you keep all pets off the furniture and beds, and that they not be left in the house unattended for more than 2 hours at a time (unless in a crate.) Guests are fully responsible for any and all damage caused by the presence of their pets on the property.

FIRES & SMOKING POLICIES

There are no fires, candles, nor fireworks allowed anywhere on the property. Smoking is only allowed in the designated outdoor smoking area on the rear deck. Fire safety is a very big deal in this neck of the woods, and we thank you for helping us to keep our property and neighbors safe from potential fire hazards.

PARTIES

There are absolutely no parties nor large gatherings allowed. Only those listed on your booking are permitted onto the property, no additional guests.

QUIET HOURS

In accordance with local regulations, outdoor amplified sound is prohibited during the following hours;

M-F: 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

S-S (and holidays): 10:00 p.m. - 9:00 a.m.

NO ACCESS

Some areas on the property are clearly marked as having no guest access. Some of these are for your own safety. Please do not attempt to bypass any locked doors, cabinets, gates, or fences.

FOOD OUTSIDE/ BEAR SAFETY

For your own safety and the safety of future guests, do not leave any food outside the house. When throwing out food or food containers in the outside trash bin, please use a bin with functioning lid clasps and be sure to use the clasps to keep out scavengers. Welcome to bear country!

TOWELS

The towels provided are for use inside the house only, and may not be taken outside. Please bring your own towels to use at the lake. Thank you.

KEEP DOORS CLOSED / BATS & INSECTS

Please keep exterior-facing doors closed whenever not actually in use. This is the woods, and there are plenty of flying insects that will not hesitate to enter the house if you give them the chance. Additionally, after sundown during Spring, Summer, and Fall months, bats can (and have on a few occasions) get confused and fly through an open door, becoming trapped indoors with you. Please avoid this by simply keeping doors closed behind you at all times. If you are wanting to let a cool breeze in, simply open windows that have screens on them.

CLEANING

We do not expect our guests to spend their vacation performing a full house-cleaning. That's our job. We do, however, ask that you practice common sense cleanliness and not leave an unreasonable mess. Do not leave any food out that may attract unwanted pests. Trash should be inside the indoor trash bins before you leave, not lying around the house. If there is a spill or accident and cleaning supplies are needed, you can find sponges and cleaners in a clearly marked cabinet in the downstairs hallway. If needed, you will also find a broom, mop, and vacuum cleaner in the upstairs closet/laundry room.
